How lucky am I?

P1000623 Look what StampVamp sent me!  Now that I am done with my SIL's invites for my nephew's grad party - how dare Joshie graduate?!  Ugh... - I will be moving onto these pirate stamps!  And my little book!  oooh!  She rocks!!!  Thanks, Vamp!  YAFA!!

From Jane's All-Inclusive Meeting...

P1000621

A cute buckle card!!  (Please ignore my watermark on the inside pic - brain fade...)

...And how cute is the inside?  I love simple.

But this card has SO much potential!  I cannot WAIT to sit down and rock it out! :)

Then we did these drink mix holders.  The tutorial was on SCS, but Jane resized them some to get max value from a sheet of 12x12, and it is a bit narrower so it looks better (IMHO).   Jane's version is the one with the Tart & Tangy strawberry (Summer Picnic DSP), my version is the Cherise DSP and those color challenge colors (Brilliant Blue, Glorious Green and Real Red.)  Very Crayola!  I think one of those colors should be a deeper shade, but I didn't have my computer to recheck, so...

dosdrink Anyhoo - there is more, but it will have to wait for another day... my battery is going quick!  Have a lovely Wednesday! :)

CHALK it up to a new experience...

Let me first preface this post with this caveat:  I am deep in the throes of spring cleaning and a major purging of STUFF, so finding time to spend with my stamps has been a challenge!   A big one!

I have been wanting to use the Chalkboard technique since I saw it on SCS a while back.  For a first try, I am really happy with this one!  One thing that yblackpomchalkboardou don't see real well is that the highlighting layer is Sage Shadow, not white, like it appears here. (Yes, Vamp, I will eventually get an Ott.)

I used Essence of Love, on Basic Black, Purely Pomegranate, Sage Shadow and Pumpkin Pie.   It would have been great if I'd have noticed that I only had 4 black brads left before I punched all 6 holes... so I used 3 brushed silver brads with the black ones.     For the coloring, I used Very Vanilla craft ink with Stampin' Pastels.    Also, this is a 4.25"x4.25" sized card.  I like those small square ones!!

ALSO, we had our wonderful All-Inclusive meeting this week with the incomparable Jane Kissel!  As always, her projects were rad and I have every intention of sharing them with you very soon... stay tuned!  For now I am late for Yoga!

It's Thursday, and LOST is in reruns... *sigh*

Dontcha HATE that? I sure do - especially when I get the ultra-tease in the form of the Lost Diary Q&A blog update. Oh, the inhumanity! I could be stamping. In fact I SHOULD be stamping because I have a 30 person swap this Sunday at my upline meeting. Jeez Louise. I haven't even designed anything yet! I like to live on the edge...

ANYhoo... I did get a little somethin' somethin' done today. A mini envelope purse - you know I love me some minis! And a quick 'Thank You' card for my Mary Kay Director. If you aren't familiar with MK - it is all about pink, bling and fabulosity! Hence the "B fabulous" card below.P1000594 I wish a photo could capture all the cuteness... there are 5 rhinestone in the "fabulous" oval, and a watermarked bee from Just B. At MK, we Bee-lieve! :)

The mini purse is the stamplifted Carousel Notes Purse, only with the 3x3 envies instead of the carousel notes' chocolate ones. I thought I'd whip up a few for my son's school yard sale/craft sale in a few weeks. Elementary school girls will like having a place P1000590to put pics of their friends and family. For once, I decided to sleep on this before over-doing it and getting peeved. (Baby steps, friends. It is a learning process!) :) This took some time, so I want to get it right. Also, the inside will have 3x3 pull outs for more picture spaces. I haven't decided what to do with the other small orange panel... so that too, will have to wait until another inspiration hits! I used Tart & Tangy, Full of Life and One Smart Cookie stamp sets, the DieCut Blooms, Flower Fusion (felt flowers) and Rhinestone Brads (Cool hues) and the DSP Summer Picnic. All of these items, save for the brads and Flower Fusion, can be found in the... all together now... Occasions Mini! The former can be found in the current IB&C.

Hope you are having a lovely Thursday... I am still hoping my Mojo-a-gogo clears up soon. I miss my mojo! :)

FINALLY! Up for Adoption is... UP!

I got a few of my retired sets pulled out to say goodbye to. What I really need is another room in my house just for stamps! I SO envy those stampers who have the space to keep all their sets forever! It never fails, once I get rid of a set that I am definitely sure I will never use again.... yeah, you've been there too, huh... I NEED it! And nothing will work - no matter how much effort I put into making it work! I am still kicking myself for parting with Groovy. Ugh... But, these, I am pretty sure about. I hope that they will find happy and loving homes. Will it be yours??? I'll be adding onto this periodically. For now, I am outta time!

Happy Thursday!

PS! The current list is in my side bar--->

Bunches & Bras...

P1000582The SCS Technique challenge this week was to create a tole card - that is, a card with the images raised to different levels for a super cute effect!  I, naturally, reached for my all-time favorite Ann-ticipations bra stamp.

I tried to get a  picture showing the raised part... the whole bra is raised once and the flower in the center is P1000586Crystal Effected and raised a second time.   I am actually happy with this one - especially when I get my rose wide grosgrain tomorrow - (HURRY UPS MAN!)I will really be happy.  The card base is Close to Cocoa, and the bras are Pixie Pink.   I used a VersaMarker to add subtle shadowing. I Cuttlebugged the background with the stylized flowers folder and then ran my Pretty in Pink craft ink over the raised design. Guess that's about it.  Once I get that ribbon switched out I will be totally stoked!  This one's a keeper.

P1000580 This little guy went into each of my Stamp Club members' order bags this afternoon.  A little customer appreciation never hurts.  I have really cool customers.

It is the Tart & Tangy set from the Occasions mini, and the DSP is Summer Picnic from the same mini.  This is an exceptional Occasions mini! - I really want everything in it.  (Anyone got a vibe on some good lottery numbers?)I need to confess that this is a complete stamplift from Beate.  She is amazing - check her out!

Happy April ~ OOOH April Fool's Day!  Wow... I escaped unscathed.  WOO HOO!
